What Is Full-Stack Web Development?

Full-stack web development means being able to build a complete web application on your own — both the part users see (the frontend) and the part that runs behind the scenes (the backend and database). A full-stack developer can design a user interface, write the logic that powers it, store and retrieve data, and deploy the finished product online.

At Dhartiputra Coders, you learn full-stack development the practical way: you build the frontend with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React; the backend with Node.js and Express; and connect it all to databases like MongoDB and SQL. By the end, you can take an idea and turn it into a working, deployed web app — the exact skill startups and businesses hire for.

The Syllabus

What You'll Learn — Beginner to Job-Ready

1
Stage 1

Web Foundations

HTML5, semantic markup, CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, and how the web actually works (browsers, HTTP, hosting basics).

2
Stage 2

JavaScript Programming

Core JavaScript, ES6+, variables, functions, arrays, objects, DOM manipulation, events, and asynchronous JavaScript (promises, async/await, fetch).

3
Stage 3

Version Control & Tools

Git and GitHub, branching, the command line, npm, and the everyday developer workflow.

4
Stage 4

Frontend with React

React.js, components, props, state, hooks, routing, forms, and connecting a frontend to APIs. Styling at scale with Tailwind CSS.

5
Stage 5

Backend with Node.js

Node.js, Express, building REST APIs, routing, middleware, authentication, and handling requests securely.

6
Stage 6

Databases

Working with MongoDB and SQL, data modelling, CRUD operations, and connecting a database to your backend.

7
Stage 7

Full-Stack Projects (MERN)

Bringing frontend, backend and database together into complete applications — the MERN stack in action.

8
Stage 8

Deployment & Going Live

Hosting, environment setup, connecting a domain, CI/CD basics, and putting your project online for the world to see.

You finish able to: Build and deploy a complete full-stack web application on your own.

The Foundations Behind Every Great Developer

Computational Thinking

Before frameworks, you learn how to think like a developer — breaking problems into steps, spotting patterns, and designing logic before writing code. This is the skill that separates people who memorise syntax from people who can actually solve problems.

Clean Code & Best Practices

Writing code that other people (and future-you) can read: naming, structure, reusable components, and habits that make you employable, not just functional.

How the Web Works

Requests and responses, APIs, servers, and what actually happens between typing a URL and seeing a page — the mental model every full-stack developer needs.

No. This path starts from absolute zero — beginning with HTML and CSS — so you can start even if you've never written a line of code.

You'll learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, and databases like MongoDB and SQL — together known as the MERN stack — plus Git, deployment and developer tools.

It depends on your pace and consistency. With regular effort and mentorship, most learners reach a job-ready level in a few months. Working with a mentor helps you avoid getting stuck and move faster.

It's mentor-led. You get a structured roadmap plus 1:1 sessions, code reviews and direct guidance — not just pre-recorded videos you watch alone.

Yes. Every stage is anchored to real projects, so you finish with a portfolio of working applications you can show to employers and clients.
